“Your spirit is the part of you that is seeking meaning and purpose… {it’s} the part of you that’s drawn to hope.” – Caroline Myss
The past week has been full of logistical and tactical activities. Lots of meetings and appointments and paperwork, which is necessary but often feels soul-draining to me.
This morning, I noticed myself feeling a bit… off.
I felt irritated, antsy, and a little overwhelmed, which was definitely not the way I wanted to feel. Even worse, I couldn’t seem to shake the feelings off, despite all of the coaching tools at my disposal, and despite having a long list of things I wanted to get done today.
When I sat with it for a moment, I realized what I most needed today was a break.
A time out from busyness and hustle, and time into the practical matter of tending to and nourishing my spirit.
So I cleared my calendar of anything non-essential. I took an Epsom salt bath. I meditated and journaled. I listened to some words and music that felt inspiring.
I rested.
Today didn’t go at all as planned, but it was exactly what I needed – a chance to recharge my batteries and tune back into what matters most.
It was a good reminder that time spent feeding my spirit is never wasted.
How are you feeding your spirit lately? 💗
