This week, I’ve been reflecting a lot on where I’m at with my business, and where I want to be heading.

One of the biggest aha’s that’s emerged is the realization that I’ve been spending a bit too much time doing things that go against my natural rhythm and preferences.

There’s a lot of reasons for this, but the one that feels most important to share is this:
I slipped back into an old habit of listening too much to my mind, and not enough to my heart.

I’m not down on the mind, by any means. The mind can be a wonderful tool for solving problems, strategizing, organizing, and planning, as long as it’s being led by the heart.

Where things get sticky is when the mind starts trying to run the show, and trying to convince the heart to get on board.  I’ve found that this never works – there is no amount of mental gymnastics that you can engage in to convince your heart that something is right for you when it isn’t.

That said, I’ve taken a step back and re-evaluated various offers, systems, and practices to figure out which are truly in alignment with where my heart wants to lead, and which I can let go of.

As a result, I’ve made some changes to my ongoing offerings, and have introduced not one, but THREE new ways of working with me.

These offers feel aligned not only with my vision for my life and business but with my strengths, values, and purpose – the core WHY behind everything I do.

I’ll be sharing more details in the coming weeks but for now, I’d like to invite you to check in with yourself and see if you notice anywhere that your heart and mind aren’t in alignment.

A quick exercise to help with teasing this out is to do a bit of free-writing, using the prompts below.

My brain says this on the subject: ____________________
My heart and inner guides say: ______________________

If you have any questions on this exercise, please feel free to reach out and let me know what’s on your mind. Or heart. 🙂
